A customized map with an original, large-scale plot invites you to take part in a mystical quest in the expanses of Minecraft's blocky universe. According to the plot, your character (and his or her team, if you decide to play in a group - you can travel on a large map both alone and in multiplayer) has decided to prove to the world that ghosts really do exist. So, after gathering the necessary equipment, you set off on a ghost hunt... but you soon become prey in your own right.

The ghost on the PHASMOPHOBIA map not only exists, but is also very active. All those who come to these places should beware of ghosts that start to drive you crazy.

The quest's plot is based on the horror video game of the same name. In the original game, there were 24 ghosts actively hunting those who disturbed their peace - and it was impossible to see or defeat a ghost, you could only gather as much information about it as possible.

The creators of the PHASMOPHOBIA map have transposed the original story and locations into the Minecraft game world. For a successful "hunt" for the ghost, your hero will receive money, which he can spend in a special store.

On the PHASMOPHOBIA map, you'll find a number of thematic objects with which you can interact. For example, you can illuminate the surrounding space with a candle or torch, which will flicker periodically in the purest thriller tradition. You can detect ghosts with a camera or spotlight, and a special radar will oscillate when a ghost appears.

In your hunt for spirits, you can also use salt (to detect traces), a sensor and glow sticks. You can defend yourself against evil ghosts with dirty sticks, a crucifix or a lighter. You can make contact with ghosts using a special board, a spirit box or a writing book. And for all the information you need on the upcoming release, you can consult the Monster Hunt guide.

In the world of Minecraft, on the PHASMOPHOBIA map, 14 types of ghost live. All are based on certain myths and cultural characteristics of different countries. For example, you may encounter a demon or poltergeist, a yokai, a ghost or a raju. Each ghost has its own type of behavior.

Cursed objects are another way of interacting with the other world. There are 5 in all:

music box (ghosts will also sing or get angry) ;
Ouija (ghosts can answer 4 out of 5 questions, but one of your questions will cause them to attack);
tarot cards (draw cards to obtain positive or negative effects) ;
a trap (a special circle in which you can summon and lock up a crowd - but when the torches go out, you'll be chased away);
a voodoo doll (it will help you provoke ghosts to certain actions, but they can sometimes get angry).

Preliminary version of map 3.8: it has added several new locations of different sizes. In total, the creators promise 5 different maps with a common theme.

We recommend that you set certain parameters in the settings to interact with the PHASMOPHOBIA card as effectively as possible. Set 0 brightness, short range, 60 degrees of view and activate camera shake.

In version 3.8, you'll have a general task list (you can find the checklist in the game itself on a special tooltip). Your quest will be based on individual tasks:

Enter the building.
Find the rooms where the ghosts are.
Take the necessary equipment with you.
Collect all evidence of the ghost's presence in the room.
Choose the 3 strongest pieces of evidence from all those collected.
Hide from the angry spirits.
Exit the building safely and return to base.

In version 3.8, you'll find cursed objects such as a voodoo doll, a summoning circle and a music box. You can also use incense to attract or scare away a ghost (incense can be purchased in the in-game store).

In addition to the main quest, there are extra quests in the game that are linked to certain items. Version 3.8 features a total of three additional quests, in which you'll have to:

have a ghost extinguish a candle;
bring a mummy to life;
record a video of at least 16 seconds next to an unpredictable ghost.

Version 3.8 of the PHASMOPHOBIA card includes new items in the in-game store: a torch, a tripod and camera textures.

PHASMOPHOBIA 4.0 is now available for download. It contains a new haunted house for you to visit.

In these new locations, you'll also encounter two new types of ghost, the ghoul and the oni. You'll be able to use new items, including a microphone, incense, salt and sedatives, to investigate these ghosts, gather evidence and defend yourself.

In version 4.0, the developers have updated certain textures and Hillside's location. Ghosts also have a new function: they drop objects that the player can pick up and use.

Version 4.0 introduces spun dice, as well as new items for communicating with spirits - Tarot cards and Ouija boards.

PHASMOPHOBIA 4.0 features an expanded settings menu. You can now set parameters for ghost hunting, evidence collection, movement and general conditions. Difficulty levels have also been introduced: experienced players can try their hand at tougher challenges.

And, of course, one of the main changes in the updated map is the Russian localization! Ghost hunting is about to get even more interesting, as all menus, actions and names on the map are now available in Russian.
