Mod: Mobs, items and weapons in ARK: Survival Evolved

Many worlds have been revealed in Minecraft: Star Wars suddenly grew pixels, Mario gradually plunged into unexplored biomes, and even Harry Potter's magic wand easily adapted to the world around it, dealing with zombies and creepers in the space of seconds.

ARK: Survival Evolved is no exception: the developers of the "Mobs, Items and Weapons from ARK " mod-pack (MC Ark Pre-Phase) have brought to the sandbox an experimental experiment system, a whole collection of dinosaurs and even the possibility of raising pets. Thousands of ideas and concepts are already available in Minecraft, so now's not the time to sit on the sidelines!

Experience system

The modification contains a special "levels" mechanic, affecting the difficulty of taming the dinosaurs grazing nearby. Monsters of different "rarities" and "experiences" are encountered: Level 10, 50, 75, 100, 150 - the higher the number, the greater the likelihood of making a mistake and encountering aggression. If virtual hunters wish to tame an animal of level 200-250, they will have to act as in a manual, i.e. using tranquilizer darts and calculating each action precisely.

Taming rules

Wild creatures can only be tamed when their daze score reaches 0. Dinosaurs and mobs immediately lose all will to fight and reach a state of true apathy, so they readily accept their master's power. The speed with which they approach daze depends on the rarity of the creature, the experience gained and even the biomes surrounding it, but real hunters have a special club, bows and crossbows with poisoned arrows (tranquilizers/medicine), and a well-chosen action strategy for such cases.

Pet breeding mechanisms

Tamed (or rather domesticated) dinosaurs will eventually start to form families and develop their own offspring, which will be closely monitored at several stages.

Eggs

If the dinosaurs have laid an egg, it's best, for the next 5 to 10 minutes, to put aside the accumulated business and concentrate on constant interaction with the future little one. It's important to ensure an adequate temperature (a fire, an air conditioner or even a tame Dodo bird will do the trick) and to build an impenetrable defense around the egg. The better the preparation, the sooner the egg will begin to crack, and the sooner the new wonder of nature will be released.

The little ones

As in the case of the egg, the young are sensitive to the surrounding temperature and periodically emit particles which indicate that they are getting hungrier.

If you follow your animal's growth as closely as possible, it will become several times stronger and at the same time increase its own level according to the following formula: the parent's starting characteristics multiplied by 5 or 7.5.

Celacanthus

A nutritious fish, Celacanthus is just as suitable for feeding baby fish as it is for growing adults who need constant energy.

  • Health: 10.
  • Prey: raw fish fillets.
  • Spawning grounds : warm waters - oceans, rivers and lakes.

Dodo

A discreet, almost defenseless bird, the Dodo is used in modification to collect ingredients for crafts and as a kind of warming device for eggs that haven't yet hatched.

  • Favorite food: sweet berries, carrots and apples.
  • Prey: Skin, feathers and raw meat.
  • Where: Plains, savannah, jungle and, in some cases, wild beaches near bodies of water (rivers and oceans).
  • How to tame it: Simply hit the bird with a club, then use the most appropriate berries and vegetables.

Moshops

Moshops are passive animals, barely moving on the map and rarely taking part in battles with the enemies around them.

  • Preferred food: Carrots and apples.
  • Prey : Skin and raw meat.
  • Breeding grounds: warm biomes - plains, jungles and forests.
  • Abilities: Able to move quickly with a rider on its back.
  • Taming: No need for clubs or tranquilizers, just use the fruits and vegetables provided.

Parasaurolophus

The parasaurolophus is a thick-skinned dinosaur with small limbs and a horn protruding from its head, capable of gathering information about its environment and warning its master of possible dangers. Once tamed, the whip-conditioned animal will be able to perform several different attacks to flush out enemies and scare off predators.

  • Preferred food: sweet berries, carrots and apples.
  • Prey: Skin and raw meat.
  • Breeding grounds: Warm biomes - plains, forests and jungles.
  • Skills: Integrated long-range target detection mode.
  • How to tame it: A wooden club is essential, as are pre-prepared berries.

Pteranodon

A flying creature, the pteranodon rarely comes close to the ground. So you'll need a crossbow or bow and special medicated darts to tame it. As the dinosaur begins to obey its new master, it will fly faster and also learn to grab objects and crowds (including villagers and hawkers) with its claws and carry them a short distance.

  • Favorite food: any kind of meat, even cooked.
  • Prey : Raw skin and ribs.
  • Egg-laying site : Beaches, jungles and certain mountain peaks.
  • Skills: the pteranodon can carry many objects with its claws (you'll need a whip).
  • Taming: multi-level dinosaurs must first be stunned, then fed meat.

MOSHOPS.

A non-standard version of the classic Moshops, which visually and technically resembles the Minecraft dog. The creature is easy to interact with - you just need the right resources to tame it.

  • Health: 50.
  • Damage : 0.
  • Favorite foods: apples, carrots and sweet berries.
  • Prey: Experimental spheres, skin and raw meat.
  • Spawning ground: warm biomes - plains, forests and jungles.
  • Skills: Transforms into a saddle animal, even without a saddle, and protects its master.
  • How to train: No clubs or darts needed - just a few treats.

PARAZAUROLOPH

The huge PARAZAUROLOPH is the best source of real protein: after defeating the dinosaur, up to 20 pieces of raw meat will be added to your inventory. But taming this creature is difficult: you'll need unrivalled skill and cunning.

  • Health: 60.
  • Damage: 0.
  • Favorite food: apples, sweet berries and carrots.
  • Favorite food: apples , sweet berries and carrots.
  • Spawning ground: the mob appears in various parts of the map, particularly in jungles and forests.
  • Skills: scares off predators within a 10-block radius.
  • Taming : the character can be tamed with zero "stun" using berries and fruit.

Trike

Compsognathus

Compsognathus is a small creature that is always among its own kin. It is not difficult to deal with such a dinosaur alone, but if you hesitate, a whole army of furious opponents will quickly appear around you.

  • Preferred food: Any meat, including meat cooked on fire.
  • Prey: Skin and ribs.
  • Spawning location: Almost in all biomes. Exception - icy mountains and snowy peaks.
  • How to tame: Use a wooden club and a pre-prepared treat.

Pegomastax

Pegomastax is a master of disguise and a real thief. The dinosaur can easily sneak into the camp and stash berries, valuable resources, and even iron and gold bars in his own bag.

  • Preferred Food: Sweet berries.
  • Prey: Sweet berries, some stolen items, skin and meat.
  • Spawning Location: Badlands, forests, savannahs and jungles, as well as beaches and some unusual warm biomes.
  • Skills: Able to cling to the sleeve of its owner and act as an additional inventory for 8-24 cells (the amount of free space depends on the accumulated experience).
  • How to tame: Just stock up on berries and hunt down an unusual target.

Dilophosaurus

A terrifying beast, Dilophosaurus seems to be able to handle even the Dragon of the Edge: the dinosaur is too quick to pounce on any opponents and too lightning fast to use its own abilities. Namely - it blinds its victims, and then exposes its own fangs and tries to bite someone's neck.

  • Preferred Food: Meat - raw or cooked.
  • Prey: Rotten flesh, skin and ribs.
  • Spawning Location: Swamps, jungles, and beaches near bodies of water.

  • Preferred Food: Meat in almost any form.
  • Prey: Skin, meat, and darts (poison or tranquilizer).
  • Spawning Location: Jungle, savannah, and plains.
  • Skills: A leaping attack that knocks the target down and stuns him for a few seconds.
  • How to tame: Use darts or a club, and then feed it with a pre-prepared treat.

Raptor Alpha

An indomitable version of the standard Raptor that can't be brought to Daze level zero. Alpha is difficult to defeat - the dinosaur is quick to spot targets on the map, deals a lot of damage and has over 300 health. Upon death, Alpha casts a random enchantment effect on the tools it uses.

Raptor Tech

A biomechanical version of Raptor with steel limbs and special sensors that enhance some characteristics.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Rex is a powerful beast, constantly building up its own characteristics and spreading the aura of an invincible predator. It is a challenge to deal with a Tyrannosaurus, so it is better to think about taming it.

  • Preferred food: Meat in any form.
  • Prey: Skin, ribs.
  • Spawning Location: Cold and warm biomes, including icy mountains, jungles, and tropics.
  • Skills: Grabs mobs and small enemies with its paws and temporarily stuns them.
  • How to tame: Bring the predator to "Daze" and use a suitable treat.

Spinosaurus

A versatile dinosaur that can move quickly on land and swim deep underwater almost without interruption. Due to its nasty nature, Spinosaurus is hard to get along with - even in its tamed state, the predator often pounces on friendly and neutral mobs.

  • Preferred food: Any kind of meat.
  • Spawning Location: Rivers, swamps, and some beaches.
  • Skills: Can swim underwater and build up some stats.
  • How to tame: Use a club and a suitable treat.

New items and blocks

The modification counts a few basic items needed to interact with the world around you and access non-standard crafting recipes.

Whip

The developers suggest whipping not tame animals, but opponents around them, marking targets increasing the damage dealt.

Special conditioner

An unusual item that looks like a box is used for constant interaction with tamed pets (cooling/heating the air), and at the same time to reproduce non-standard attacks and skills available in some dinosaurs.

Wooden club

The weapon of primitive man comes in handy for taming small pets and fighting monsters (zombies, skeletons or spiders).

Narcoberries

An inconspicuous berry found in a variety of biomes, both warm and cold. Collected narcoberries are used in several crafting recipes, and in some cases also reduce the feeling of increasing hunger.

Pestle and Pestle

A special rack needed to make gunpowder and a special squeeze of drugberry. The mortar and pestle is assembled from wood and stone.

Together with the new rack in Minecraft will be added and new recipes, without which it is much more difficult to fight with enemies and tame virtual animals.

Available in the mod-pack and special arrows with tranquilizer (drug), which greatly reduces the activity of predators and increases the chances of taming some multi-level dinosaur.

Common Saddle

A new item assembles from wood block, leather, iron shard, and spider web, and is used to move around the global map riding tame dinosaurs and neutral/friendly mobs.

Textures

Includes a modification and a set of new textures that change the format of axes, swords, as well as iron pickaxes and some tools carved from stone.
