Mod: New equipment for "Survival" mode

There aren't many cold weapons in classic Minecraft - developers Mojang force you to fight with either a sword, an axe or a trident, which you can't even make. Variety is really low, and in the sandbox you periodically have to face opponents from modifications such as More Mobs, Cursed Dungeon or Shiver of the Earth.

Will the same Graboids and Swamp Zombies have to be "butchered" with an axe? Absolutely not. Modification Weapons And Tools Survival Expansion will add a collection of 300 new weapons and tools to Minecraft, even in Survival mode. Daggers, scythes, longswords, battle shovels, maces and even sickles - hundreds of varieties of edged weapons will let you dance a truly unique dance of death!

Workbench

The wooden workbench, littered with carpentry tools and blueprints, is used in the Weapons and Survival Tools expansion as a complete workstation for the manufacture of new equipment.

By interacting with the workbench, the sandbox will display the full list of available recipes, and immediately suggest starting to forge swords, blades, hammers and axes.

Blacksmith's table

The blacksmith's table in the modification has not changed - it still transforms diamond equipment into non-gold equipment. As in the classic Minecraft version, upgrading is done in semi-automatic mode, and among the ingredients you only need nerite ingots.

Weapons and tools

The modification contains over 300 types of new equipment with unusual features and representing different historical eras - from the classical Middle Ages of the Crusader era to the work of Arab, Japanese and even Turkish master smiths.

Rapiers, sickles and hammers - with the help of improvised tool developers, you can greatly diversify your own arsenal and add realism to virtual battles.

What's more, depending on the material used in the manufacturing process (wood, cobblestone, iron, gold, diamond and nerite), you'll obtain weapons or tools whose characteristics depend on you. For example, gold swords, as in the original Minecraft, aren't too strong, and diamond - rare, but at the same time strong and really razor-sharp. But everything is in order.

Daggers

  • Damage: 3 to 7 units

The dagger enables its wearer to instantly strike any target at close range ("Rush Attack" skill) and pierce enemies, causing them to bleed. Aspiring adventurers entrust their lives to this type of blade, due to its compact size and impressive versatility.

Short swords

  • Damage: 3 to 7

When used, this short sword confers a "speed" effect on its wearer, enabling him or her to move more quickly across the map and immediately take up a position suitable for combat. Such a blade is useful for long journeys, as it constantly increases running speed.

Long swords

  • Damage: 5 to 9 units

The longsword inflicts a lot of damage and keeps enemies at a distance (up to 3 blocks). But wielding such an imposing weapon is difficult: the attack animation takes a long time, and quick strikes only drain stamina.

Clubs

  • Damage: 7 to 11 units

The spiked mace is not suited to fast combat - not everyone is capable of lifting such a formidable weapon, so some attacks will require special training (with a long recharge time). But when it strikes an opponent, the mace inflicts enormous damage and, in some cases, stuns the target.

Double-edged swords

  • Damage: 7 to 11 points of damage

An unusual double-sided blade that constantly pushes you into combat. And no wonder: the weapon is not designed for defense (parrying, as in the Sword Blocking modification, doesn't work) and works on the principle of a veritable mill, twisting opponents in a deadly, bloody whirlwind.

Amethyst-tipped swords

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

An experimental weapon forged with a special amethyst tip. Visually, the sword is more suited to certain displays of medieval equipment, but in reality, the amethyst blade stays sharp longer and loses its durability charges more slowly, which is why it's often used by professional swordsmen in Minecraft.

Axes

  • Damage: 4 to 8 damage

A faithful helper for true lumberjacks who put all their strength into every blow. That's why the axe can withstand almost any charge, while inflicting a lot of damage and sometimes knocking out the target.

Deadly pitch

  • Damage: 4 to 8 damage

The standard miner's pick is not suited to real combat with enemies - the handle is weak and the point has trouble hitting the target. Not so with Kylo, a special double-sided tool with a blade and a point that's just as suited to working underground as it is to fighting enemies. And best of all, you don't have to switch from one piece of equipment to another.

Spikes

  • Damage: 3 to 7

A hybrid of shovel and spear, resembling another combat compromise consisting of a tool and a cold weapon. Shovels are suitable for close combat and are often used by newcomers in place of swords and axes.

Combat spades

  • Damage: 4 to 8 units

Ready to take on any battle, the increased-damage Combat Shovel once again attempts to perform several functions at once: digging the ground and defeating the enemies it comes up against.

Combat shovels

  • Damage: 3 to 7 damage

Another variation on the shovel theme, but more classic, with a standard handle and a sharp point. This unusual tool has no historical analogy, but it's still popular among Minecraft's itinerant gardeners.

Plagues

  • Damage: 5 to 9

The scythe is a weapon capable of inflicting significant area damage and crushing opponents. But in addition to its impressive fighting qualities, the scythe is still used in agriculture, like the hoe.

Rusty tools

  • Damage: 0.5 to 3 units

A dilapidated set of equipment with a yellowed hilt and cracked blades, spikes and points. It's almost impossible to fight with a rusty sword or axe - durability is nil and damage is low. But it's easy enough to find this type of equipment in the mines and huts of many villages.

Spear

  • Damage: 4 units
  • Long-range damage: 7 to 11 units

Spears are suitable for melee combat (they repel enemies and cause bleeding) and for throwing at targets up to 20 blocks away. Using a spear as a throwing weapon makes it several times easier to inflict a lot of damage - in flight, such a precious object is instantly transformed into a deadly projectile.

Rural axes

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

These axes were once used by villagers in the countryside to chop down trees, but over time, village blacksmiths began to forge them with cheap alloys and additives, reducing the cost of production and thus attracting the interest of soldiers in regular armies who can't afford expensive weapons. But cheap doesn't mean poor quality: axes can break a lot of skulls!

Axes

  • Damage: 6 to 10 units

Double-bladed axes are effective both when felling trees (wood extraction speed is multiplied by several times) and when fighting enemies. Axes really cut mobs to pieces.

Sickles

  • Damage: 4 to 8 damage

A truly brutal weapon, comparable to Mortal Kombat's Brutality. It can "finish off" a wounded enemy with just a few attacks. Bloody carnage is guaranteed, and the unusual effect will impress even skeptics.

Short sickles

  • Damage: 3 to 7

A less expensive sickle that causes bleeding, but does less damage and doesn't instantly finish off the target. Despite these limitations, the short tool is much easier to forge: it requires half as many resources.

Primal adze

  • Damage: 3 to 7 damage

A hybrid weapon and farming tool that's a cross between an axe and a hoe. The adze can be used to fell trees, cultivate the land and even prepare beds for sowing. Combat is more complicated - attacking with hybrid equipment is harder than it looks - attacks are quite short, and reloading each shot takes a long time.

Sharp axes

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

A powerful weapon that increases wood extraction speed and is often used by lumberjacks as a self-defense weapon. For example, in forests full of zombies and skeletons.

Lumberjack's axes

  • Damage: 5 to 9 units

An unusual tool that works on the TreeCapitator principle - i.e., after hitting the bottom block of a tree, the whole trunk falls over. This method of extracting wood saves a great deal of time and effort, but considerably reduces the axe's power. A compromise between power and durability.

Japanese axes (Ono)

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

The Ono is a traditional Japanese tool used as both a weapon and an axe for cutting down trees in ancient times. This time, the TreeCapitator function won't work, but even so, there's no problem with the wood. The tool does everything too quickly.

Bowie knives.

  • Damage: 5 to 9

An incredibly powerful weapon that pierces enemies and inflicts extra damage when hit. Bowie knives are often used by outlaws who have learned to attack targets in stealth mode. A silent, unexpected attack does several times more damage.

Kerambits

  • Damage: 3 to 7 units

The Kerambit is a spectacular knife with an unusual shape that enables its wearer to leap at opponents (almost like a dagger) or to rise up to 3 blocks in the air. This curious skill allows you to quickly change position during combat and easily distance yourself in critical situations.

Dirks

  • Damage: 4 to 8 damage

The club is the weapon of the gladiators of ancient Rome, who wielded several swords at once. The dirk is ideal for this kind of experiment. The key is to find the right blade for the second hand and not to injure your allies.

Swords

  • Damage: 3 to 7

A powerful, fragile yet sharp blade that pierces opponents and makes them bleed. The sword is often combined with ottas to prepare truly devastating attacks. The only thing standing in the way of this unusual synergy is its low durability - the weapon will need to be constantly repaired and remade at the forge.

Ottas

  • Damage: 3 to 7 damage

An unusual blade straight out of the martial arts schools of India, used as a melee weapon. Since then, nothing has changed: the Ottas is still often used by masters in confrontations with their opponents. Considering the modifications, such a blade adds strength to its owner, while being easily combined with other equipment.

Toothless swords

  • Damage: 5 to 9 points of damage

A true pirate's sword that makes you want to live endless maritime adventures. But it's not so difficult to feel the atmosphere of such adventures. Just swing the toothless blade a few times and the owner of such a weapon will immediately show the effect of unlimited underwater breathing. It's not much, but crossing bodies of water by boat or raft will be several times safer.

Sledgehammers

  • Damage: 7 to 11 units

A devastating tool that inflicts a lot of damage and sweeps away entire layers of blocks (3x3 destruction zone). The only thing preventing you from feeling the full power of this hammer is the long recovery time for each attack. That's why you need to plan ahead and keep your distance.

Fragmentation weapon

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

An ancient tool used by Neanderthals in caves and mines to extract stones and additional resources. Although this era has long since been forgotten, the developers of the modification do not prevent the equipment from being used without any restrictions. The main thing is not to forget durability: these tools fall apart too quickly.

Hammers

  • Damage: 3 to 7

Hammers are the preferred tools of the handyman, who must constantly adapt to the changing pace of life. This adaptation is also reflected in hammers: by using this tool, players will be able to transform numerous blocks into new types of resource. The same blocks of cobblestone will become stone. Curious? This type of conversion works in many situations and saves a lot of time when drawing up a personal settlement.

Hammers

  • Damage: 3 to 7 units

Hammers are an unusual alternative to hammers that work in the opposite way. If hammers turn cobblestones into stones, hammers "convert" stones into cobblestones. It's a veritable cycle of blocks in a sandbox.

Katanas

  • Damage: 5 to 9

A deadly ninja weapon that adds a whole list of unusual abilities and passive skills to its bearer. The type of katana depends on the side of fortune. Sometimes the katana increases strength, sometimes it increases speed, and in some situations it can injure its owner.

Claymores

  • Damage: 6 to 10 units

The Claymore is the sword of knights and royal defenders, with a rounded blade and lightning-fast reload speed (all you have to do is hit the enemy). The only problem with this weapon is its production cost: forging it requires a large amount of resources.

Zweihanders

  • Damage: 8 to 12

An endgame sword that will require even more resources than the Claymore, but will transform its wearer into an almost invincible warrior capable of taking on an army of enemies. Despite its cost, the Zweihander is almost flawless: it increases its wearer's strength, easily pierces enemies' bodies and can even survive a collision with a rock thanks to its incredible durability.

Brick hammers

  • Damage: 3 to 7 damage

A construction tool that can easily split many geological rocks. Almost useless in combat due to its long attack time and short range on enemies.

Carpenter's hammers

  • Damage: 2 to 6 units

Carpenter's hammers are a virtual designer's dream. Using this unusual tool, adventurers will be able to modify wooden blocks and transform, for example, oak into birch and acacia, and vice versa, without any restrictions. This trick also works on certain constructions - the same doors, tables and chairs.

Drilling picks

  • Damage: 1 to 5 damage

A special pickaxe used by master miners. The tool's integrated "drill" allows you to cut up to 10 blocks at a time, increasing the speed of resource and material extraction. The pickaxe operates on both X and Y axes (i.e. blocks are cut both vertically and vertically), with the appropriate option selected on the workbench. At the same time, the developers recommend not forgetting the tool's durability: too frequent use of such an effect will quickly render it unusable.

Great swords

  • Damage: 7 to 11 damage

A long but versatile sword that doesn't require a lot of resources to manufacture, as is the case with the Zweihender. This weapon is suitable for all types of combat and has a fairly high durability.

Masakari

  • Damage: 7 to 11

A huge battle-axe that instantly destroys trees and turns mobs and wild animals into carnage. Masakari is often used in battles against large numbers of mobs because of its wide range and ability to inflict all attacks fairly quickly.

Trench knives

  • Damage: 5 to 9 damage

A powerful bayonet knife that causes bleeding and resembles Bowie blades in its convenience. Like its competitor, it inflicts extra damage when struck in the back in stealth mode.

Wakizashi

  • Damage: 4 to 8 damage

The wakizashi is an auxiliary blade used by ninjas. Like the katana, the weapon imposes a variety of positive and negative effects lasting up to 5 minutes.

Shiaons

  • Damage: 5 to 9 points of damage

An authentic Scottish sword from the time of William Wallace. This weapon is not difficult to forge and is easy to use right from the start. What's more, chiourms have a surprisingly fast reload speed and significantly increase their wearer's mobility.

Rapiers

  • Damage: 8 to 12 points of damage

A fragile and perhaps the deadliest weapon available in the Weapons and Survival Tools upgrade. The rapier is most effective when combined with Ottas, which increase strength and don't require many resources to make. But you won't be able to fight for long with this blade: even the non-zero version will wear out after 100 to 120 strokes.

Spiked clubs

  • Damage: 6 to 10 points of damage

An ancient caveman's tool in a modern interpretation. The spiked mace inflicts a lot of damage, stuns opponents and doesn't need to be repaired much longer than hammers and swords, thanks to its increased durability.

Hopeshi

  • Damage: 5 to 9 points of damage

This ancient Egyptian sword has impressive offensive and defensive capabilities. Like many other blades, the Hopeshi doesn't require many resources to produce, but it inflicts a great deal of damage on its opponents and doesn't disintegrate after a few long battles.

Falchions

  • Damage: 6 to 10 units

A traditional knight's sword that inflicts stab wounds and lacerations on enemies' bodies. This damage slows down the movement of mobs and animals, and causes them to lose a lot of health points through hemorrhaging.

Naive

  • Damage: 6 to 10

The Ancient Arabian sword is a reliable weapon capable of inflicting more damage by striking the same target with several successive attacks. When you change target, the counter is reset to zero. These mechanisms are unusual for Minecraft, but risky - it's sometimes harder to plan every move in combat than you'd like.

Kiliji

  • Damage: 7 to 11

An unusually shaped, old-fashioned Turkish sword which, like Saif, rewards its wearer with the ability to launch deadly attacks on the same target with a minimum of reloading. Any failure resets the counter to zero, as in the previous case, and causes you to suffer from a weakness and slowness that combine to reduce your movement speed considerably.

Jiani

  • Damage: 5 to 9 points of damage

A gladiatorial sword capable of inflicting a great deal of damage on mobs and animals with few pre-crafting resources. Jiani is often used by beginners.

Xiphos

  • Damage: 5 to 9 points of damage

This is probably the most popular sword used by gladiators in ancient Rome. Xiphos increases its wearer's strength when it repeatedly strikes the same character or animal (or the same player in PvP).

Dao

  • Damage: 8 to 12 points of damage

A legendary Chinese sword that is an improved version of the Kiliji. By repeatedly striking the same opponent, Dao reduces attack cooldowns, removes penalties and increases strength. On the other hand, missed strikes are deadly: there's a good chance of losing balance and becoming nauseated.

Sabo

  • Damage: 5 to 9

A sword specializing in deep wounds. When it hits a target, Sabo literally tears the skin, causing active hemorrhaging that inflicts intermittent damage and reduces the enemy's movement speed.

Kusanagi no Tsurugi.

  • Damage: 7 to 11

A mythical Japanese sword that has become a legend and a gift of destiny. The sword's rage effect, which applies to the wearer after several attacks on any target, is to blame. Absorbing its own power, the sword will quickly become both a curse and its true raison d'être.

Zulfiqar

  • Damage: 8 to 12

The legendary Zulfiqar Arab sword inflicts enormous damage at the cost of its own durability. Even the diamond-coated version of the blade literally crumbles in your hands. But Zulfiqar can easily tear into the bodies of others, causing them to hemorrhage.

Flissa

  • Damage: 6 to 10 points of damage

Fleece is a highly resistant North African blade, capable of coping with any combat task. In addition to its versatility, this blade doesn't require many resources to produce, making it ideal for the early stages of survival.

Butterfly sword

  • Damage: 6 to 10 damage

The butterfly sword is often regarded as an improved version of the Bowie knives, but it's no longer American, but Chinese. This weapon does not cause bleeding, but does more damage in close combat (the target must be literally a few paces away).

3D weapons and tools

Special collection of 3D weapons and tools copied by modification developers from third-party projects, including Dead by Daylight, Dying Light and even Manhunt. A real find for those lacking real-world experience!

Chain knives

  • Damage: 3 to 7
  • Long-range damage: 6 to 10

A special ceremonial blade suspended from a chain is the ancient weapon of the gladiator slaves who played in the arena for the glory of the emperor. Although there are no gladiators or emperors in Minecraft, all adventurers, without exception, will be able to use the blade.

The blade works in the same way as it did in ancient Rome: it inflicts damage in close combat and at a distance. The various attacks can be easily combined: the blade tears through the flesh of opponents, then lunges forward, pushing aside all those in its path and rising again with a steel chain. Spectacular and truly effective.

Tekuto

  • Damage: 3 to 7 damage

The Tekuto cutting sword dates back to ancient Japan and has been modified many times since. Blacksmiths have changed the casting recipe, constantly redesigned the handle and experimented with blade sharpening. Over time, Tekuto has become a universal weapon, slicing through enemies with ease.

And to harness such power, it's perfectly realistic to do so in Minecraft. And the sword will even add a special skill to its owner - "Jerk", which lets you instantly move closer to the target or vice versa - literally "jumping" out of combat.

Slingshot

  • Damage: 3 to 7 units
  • Long-range damage: up to 6 units

The slingshot is an unfamiliar but rather interesting alternative to bows and crossbows. This new weapon uses split pebbles as projectiles, which means you won't have to hunt for feathers and constantly collect flint - just split a few almost useless blocks.

Among the slingshot's unusual features is a special trap: simply throw a stone into the ground and it will get stuck for 15-20 seconds, causing your opponents to stumble and lose some of their health.

Infernal workbench

Not all the equipment in the Weapons And Tools Survival Expansion modular pack is medieval or historical: using a special workbench found in hell, the developers are introducing weapons from fictional worlds into Minecraft.

Sword of the Colossus

  • Damage: 20

The Colossus' three-meter sword was forged in an unknown mountain-top forge on the outskirts of several Italian towns. No one knows why it was forged there, but there's no need to dwell on local legends: the blade awaits a new guardian!

But containing the power of the Colossus is a real challenge: every attack with the sword unleashes an uncontrollable force on opponents, and at the same time - with a low probability - calls 3 dead guardians to the battlefield ...

Weapon of the lord of death

  • Damage: 30

Carnifex's weapon (and also Sander Rault's in Dead by Daylight) resembles a sharp cleaver with a bloody blade and a wooden handle that's been cracked since the last century. It's a fearsome blade that easily slices through enemies and fuels its wearer's rage.

Assassin's blades

  • Damage: 15 points of damage

Durkos Malecek is Sander Rault's loyal companion in Dead by Daylight: the hero fearlessly follows his own ally and easily engages in combat with any enemy, using short, murderous blades that cause bleeding and leave lacerations on the bodies of crowds and wild animals.

Colossus armorer's equipment

  • Damage: 20 points of damage

Alejandro Santiago is the third member of the Faithful Trinity cult, another ally of Durkos Malechek and Sander Rault. Alejandro has spent half his life in prison, so he relies on the strange but effective equipment found in the dungeon to fight.

Cylinder wrench

  • Damage: 9 damage

In the past, a wrench was used to remove bolts from car tires, but today in the world of modification, the tool is used as a weapon that inflicts painful blunt blows. Each blow delivered with such an object stuns enemies and, at the same time, causes nausea that slows down movement speed.

Cricket bat

  • Damage: 7 damage

The wooden bat doesn't do much damage, but it pushes mobs, stuns them and, like the wrench, makes those who receive it nauseous.

Rake

  • Damage: 7 damage

An "old-fashioned" farming tool still in vogue: the rake effectively tears the flesh of enemies and causes bleeding for 2 seconds.

Sabi's sword

  • Damage: 9

Sabi's medieval sword doesn't look very formidable in the hands of novice adventurers: the blade is short, the handle is strange, and even the blade is blunt. But first impressions are deceptive: even an inexperienced warrior will immediately feel all the power stored in the weapon. And it's not the damage that counts, but the unbridled power: the sword instantly "injects" rage into its owner.....

Equipment from another world

Pomegranates have been introduced as modifications and consumables. But over time, the developers promise to diversify the content available and add to the sandbox the same first-aid kits, special blade-sharpening machines and third-party tools that will surely be needed even by a virtual gunsmith.

Smoke grenade

The grenade creates a thick smoke screen where it lands (8-second delay before "detonation"). The resulting smoke is used by many otherworldly tactical groups in defensive operations.

Light and sound grenade

The grenade explodes, producing a flash of light that instantly blinds enemies for 3-5 seconds. Does not affect allies.

Stun grenade

This grenade stuns enemies for a few seconds, but inflicts no damage and has a limited range.

Recommendations for newcomers

It's hard to immerse yourself immediately in the atmosphere of local weapon experiments: the content of the Weapons And Tools Survival Expansion is too extensive. That's why the developers have prepared a few recommendations for newcomers who have decided to turn Minecraft's classic swords and axes into the works of medieval blacksmiths.

The best swords

Swords are versatile and suitable for almost any battle, but not all are equally effective. Here are the five best:

  • Sword of the Colossus. Impressive features and the ability to summon 3 guardians to help you.
  • Tekuto. The blade increases mobility and allows you to adapt to the combat technique of any opponent (mob/player).
  • Ottas. Temporarily increases strength and helps you attack, if not faster, at least more effectively.
  • Tao. Adds damage to the wearer if he doesn't miss unnecessary attacks and correctly calculates his combat strength.
  • Daggers. Apply the "Speed" effect, allowing you to move quickly around the map, even outside duels.

The best axes

Axes are more difficult to handle than swords: attacks are slower and require special skills. But why not experiment?

  • A lumberjack's axe. Fast wood extraction with TreeCapitator is a real boon.
  • Felling axe: Increases tree felling speed and has a high damage rate.
  • Rustic axe: Requires few resources to forge, durable and suitable for all encounters with enemies.
  • Masakari. Fast, powerful attacks and very few resources needed for crafting.
  • Sekira. An effective weapon for swift retaliation against opponents.

Better hammers

Hammers, according to the developers of the modification, dramatically improve the quality of life in the sandbox and open up new opportunities. Here's an example:

  • Sledgehammer. Breaks whole 3x3 blocks.
  • Hammer. Crushes all blocks (e.g. turns cobblestones into stone);
  • Carpenter's hammer. Modifies wood (transforms oak into birch and vice versa);
  • Hammer: adds roughness to blocks.
  • Brick hammer: breaks up boulders, increases resource extraction speed.

The best tools

It's not difficult to choose the ideal pickaxe. All you need to do is use the drill at least once, which can shatter whole rows of blocks with just a few blows. The same applies to shovels: it's best to opt for shovels or combat variants with a sharp shovel.
