This addon adds a huge amount of high quality holiday decorations, items, armor and pets to vanilla minecraft! Celebrate the holiday season now with dozens of high quality Christmas decorations, items, armor and pets. Even more items will be added in upcoming updates!

In addition, if you want to get into the spooky atmosphere of Halloween, you can decorate your home at any time with lots of Halloween decorations that were added in the recent update. Enjoy!

Brief Video Overview

The seasonal decorations of the Big Onion University! Yep, yep, you didn't see it coming. This add-on is primarily aimed at adding high-quality holiday decorations that won't stand out much in vanilla minecraft. All these decorations are designed to be played on a regular basis and can look good even outside of the holiday season.

The new year has already arrived!

Starting with version 2, Christmas decorations have been added to the game to go along with the existing Halloween set. As with the last version, there is an additional download file on the website that contains the addon's demo world!

Obtaining

All items in this add-on can be obtained in one of three ways. The first, and easiest way, is to use the Spawn All Items item, which is located in the creator's inventory. Using this item puts two barrels in front of the player, which contain absolutely all the items from the addon. The following two methods can be used in survival. The player can buy addon items from a seasonal merchant or craft them at a seasonal workbench.

Seasonal merchants are similar to traveling merchants, except that they only appear under certain conditions. Halloween merchants appear only at night and disappear during the day, while Christmas merchants appear only in cold biomes. You can also buy seasonal workbenches from seasonal merchants, with the help of which the player can create any decoration by hand.

Decorative snow hat

It seems worth explaining how this item works. The snow hat can be crafted at a seasonal workbench or bought from a merchant. After placing the cap somewhere, it will appear to cover the block underneath it with snow, just like regular snow covers blocks of grass. You can change its shape by clicking on it with a block whose shape the snow cap will take. For example, you can click on the cap with a stair block, and then it will take the shape of a staircase. To see all the different variations of each block type, just click on the hat a few times. Right now the snow hat works for slabs, stairs, fences, and walls as shown below.

What's new in version 1.1?

In version 1.1, Halloween-themed costumes (armor) and pets have been added in addition to existing decorations. All players can now add a spooky pet or two to their Halloween decorations. There are currently 10 costumes and 4 pets available. All of these can be obtained from their respective Treat Bags, which can be purchased from the seasonal merchant.

Pets

• Skeleton Wolf: Slightly stronger than a regular wolf. When the wolf dies, a summoning whistle falls from it, which can be used to summon the skeleton wolf again.
• Ghost Cat: A flying cat that scares creepers a lot. It also drops a summon item when it dies.
• Jack O Lantern: a small jumping pumpkin that follows the player and emits light. Their color can be changed with dye, and their faces can be changed with scissors.
• Ghost Pet: A small ghostly creature. It shoots small balls of ectoplasm at all monsters the player attacks. While these orbs don't do much damage, they do slow down any monsters they hit.

Suits

All suits are pieces of armor obtained from the appropriate Gift Bag. They don't provide good protection, but they never break (that would be annoying...). However, they can be enchanted. Honestly, enchanted demon wings or a vampire cape look really cool.....

Brooms

A broom is a rare flying artifact that can only be purchased from seasonal merchants. They are expensive, of course, but it's worth it! A broom controls the same as a horse, except that when you jump, they go up or down depending on where the player is looking. Hitting a broom will turn it into a drop (same system as a boat). You can't imagine what fun mini-games you can come up with with them!

Autumn Trees

The addon also adds a new type of tree to the game, the Autumn Tree. Their saplings can be purchased from Seasonal Merchants. These trees are perfect for creating a fall atmosphere!

Effect Blocks and Sound Blocks

Effect blocks and sound blocks have recently been added to the addon. These are switchable blocks that, as the name suggests, create sounds and particle effects at their location. When you interact with them, you can cycle through their different states to achieve the desired effect. Both types of blocks are great for creating an eerie atmosphere in a building.

Demo interior

Last but not least is the demo world! It's a fully decorated Halloween town, showing many different uses for the decorations from this add-on.
