Mod: Improved carriages

You like the romance of trains, and you would like to realize it in your favorite game? With the new MineCars mod it is real! Now you can collect entire trains of cars and wagons in Minecraft - connect them with chains between each other, add decor and send them on the road. But make sure that the train follows a safe path, otherwise the carriage can break!

An interesting feature of the carriages: they won't need rails! Trains will be able to move quickly through any parts of the game world.

Refueling

You will need fuel to refuel the wagon and prepare it for shipment. Use good quality fuel so that the wagon can travel longer until the next refueling.

Wagon Functions

You can connect the wagons to each other and send them on a journey over any terrain - the train will tilt depending on the terrain. From time to time the wagons will need repairs: they can be made with the help of iron ingots.

Any of the cars can break or even catch fire: there are special animations for these incidents.

Next, let's take a closer look at all the types of carriages that the developers offer us in the MineCars mod.

Standard wagon

A basic wagon that can be attached to a train. In the game it is called Reliant.

Lighted wagon

Lights are attached to this type of wagon. You will be able to turn the lights on and off (for this you need to squat). In the game such wagons are called Lumine.

A wagon with a mystical lantern

On the surface, this wagon looks like one that just rides around with a lantern, but it actually has mystical properties. It can absorb the souls of mobs and make them weaker, scares away pygmies, is not slowed down by soul sand, and can extend its effect to other players within three blocks (the wagon needs to be enchanted to do this). In the game, this type of wagonette is called Spirit.

A real fighting machine, not a wagon! She can deal 20 points of damage, can easily throw back enemies, is immune to attacks, and can throw lightning bolts. And if the enemy is protected by armor, even this will not stop the swift warrior - her blow will pass through the protection.

A wagon with a chest

Those who have carried a chest on a donkey know that mechanical transportation is man's friend. The wagon also knows this and carries a chest that cannot be emptied with a funnel. The name of this type of wagon in the game is Chestnut.

Wagon with drill

The train is needed not only for transportation, but also for mining materials - a special wagon will help you with that! With the help of the built-in tool she will be able to destroy blocks with valuable rocks - stone, sand, mud and others. The drill will also help her attack and deals 3 damage per second. The wagon will need a 12 second cooldown after dealing with hard rocks, and it will not be able to deal with particularly difficult rocks - diamond ore, obsidian and bedrock are not available for destruction with the drill. In the game, this type of wagon is called Groundbreaker.

Diamond Drill Trolley

The functions of this type of wagonette are very similar to how a drill wagonette works. With the diamond drill you can destroy valuable rocks (except diamond ore, obsidian and bedrock). The diamond drill wagon also deals 3 damage per second during the attack and recharges after working with hard rocks, but unlike its "colleague" with the drill, it destroys a larger hole - already 2 by 2 blocks (the drill wagon destroys 1 by 1 block).

Wagon with fire drill

The most resilient wagon that not only mines you valuable rocks, but can also destroy even the most resilient blocks - diamond ore, bedrock and obsidian. Its drill is fiery, so the wagon itself is resistant to flames and can immediately melt down anything you mine with it. The fire drill can process a 3 by 3 block area at once, can be protected by armor, and deals increased damage when attacking. And if there is a failure in its operation, this type of wagon can be repaired with neserite.

Cannon Wagon

Can fire various projectiles (depending on which core you choose, the firing mode will change as well). It will require charging before starting. In the game, this type of carriages is called Blaster.

How to work with wagons

Crafting a standard wagon after installing the mod will change a bit and become more convenient.

To make your wagons more useful, you will be able to combine them into a train and add wagons. Note that wagons are available only 1 time: you can't rejoin an already used wagon, only use it separately.

Standard passenger car

Only 1 character or mob can be placed in it.

Chest Wagon

It is not designed to carry passengers, but there is a chest inside, so you can transport items from your inventory in this wagon.

The space for carrying inventory is doubled here compared to a conventional chest wagon.

Funnel wagon

A special wagon in which you can transport additional items by placing them on top of a chest in a funnel.

TNT wagon

A particularly dangerous wagon that carries dynamite. If there is an explosion or fire nearby, the wagon will also explode (it will not destroy the rails or the terrain underneath). You can activate the dynamite manually - then it will explode in 4 seconds, and if two cars collide, the detonation will happen instantly.

Flatbed car

An enlarged passenger wagon with 2 seats. You can increase or decrease its size.

Coffin Wagon

Despite its intimidating name, this wagon doesn't carry anything creepy - it serves as a shelter. You can lock yourself inside and hide to escape damage or fire. Such a carriage can be painted.

Features of trains in the assembly

If you connect a wagon and a car, but they will be at too great a distance from each other - the car will automatically teleport to the wagon. For the correct operation of the mod, we recommend not to create excessively long trains.

List of changes

The authors of the mod regularly work to improve it and add those features that are most needed by users. For example, in the last update, the functionality of trains was reworked - they added the necessary options, but removed the unclaimed teleportation with pearls. Also, the updated version of the mod can work without activating the experimental settings in the game.
